FUTURE ROCK TRANSFORMATION: GORILLA

If you read my Princess of Delphi from Orion story then you know the history behind this Gorilla head shaped rock, if not I’ll do a quick recap.

This rock (and the Princess dragon head) were gifted to me in 2016 and remained side-by-side in the yard until November 2018 when I began making the dragon for Rachel with Way Chill Life in Palm Springs CA.

I initially took the rocks to be polite, placed them in an inconspicuous area and pretty much forgot about them-until I was directed to this spot when contemplating the dragon’s creative vehicle. After I chose the granite rock the other rock remained in the yard until I returned from delivering the Princess in April 2019.

I had a reason for taking another close look at my “stable” of rocks and crystals when I returned home…Rachel text me the day after delivery and said “You will make all the Chinese Astrology animals over time and it’s an awesome show!!!” My experience with Rachel is she is a very kind and gifted healer with a secure connection to other dimensions, not to mention a little ball of energy!

At the time the Princess was the first and only rock transformation of this type, and I certainly didn’t have plans to create more animals-but literally the day I came home I from Palm Springs I was going through my stable of rocks one by one, cleaning them up and taking pictures. I find sometimes a face or shape isn’t revealed to the naked eye, and this was the case with the “Gorilla” rock that remained without his friend.

I was looking at it like a possible dog head (left to right) but once I saw the outline shadows on my phone there it was-a Gorilla’s head! In hindsight it was no coincidence these two rocks were together, and they were gifted from the same individual. Providence was at work in my meeting this man towards the end of his life and receiving these special rocks, in fact I found out he passed away only a few months before Princess was completed.

I brought the Gorilla head into my workroom and even tested several types of semi-precious chips I had ordered, but my pieces always start with the eyes and nothing I have on hand are the right ones.

To date I still have not found the perfect eyes, once they do the fun begins…until then it remains king of the jungle, or I should stay stable.
